Info about Stock Investing
Stock Investing In 2010 Is Much Different Than 20 Years Ago
Investing in the stock market has changed a lot since the Internet has become such a part of the process. Older investors remember the day when you had to make a phone call to your broker for every trade you wanted to make. Everyone who had money in a broker account also was assigned a real person who took and executed the trade information.
Investing in stocks in 2010 has become much less personal and actually pretty anonymous. Opening an online stock account is something you can easily do without ever talking to a real person. Companies in all businesses are trying to cut out real paid employees because they are so expensive and would rather have you talk to and deal with a computer. The stock business is no different and most of the time you can do everything yourself online with no human interaction.
This lack of a personal touch has made trading stocks something that you have to learn yourself. "
Stocks for dummies" type books have been written so that you can learn some of the ins and outs of investing yourself. You can buy and sell all day long without ever having to speak or listen to anyone.
There still are a few brokerage houses where you can have your own broker who gives you stock information and even recommendations. However this service comes with a hefty price tag and it is something that fewer and fewer people are using. It seems that people with the most money would be more likely candidates for this type of full service as they have serious investment decisions to make and want to know the
best stocks to buy right now.
All in all, stock investing has changed quite a bit in the last 20 years. At least the way you make the trades has changed. Finding good stocks that will go up is as hard as ever though.
